Ingredients:
1 box whole wheat Rotini
1 large zucchini- shredded
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground Italian sausage
1 jar pasta sauce
1 cup fresh mozzarella
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp basil
1 tsp minced garlic
salt & pepper
fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
1. Boil the box of Rotini according to directions. (I stopped cooking mine 3 minutes before directed time.)
2. Brown the meat together in a pan. Drain grease.
3. Shred the zucchini and season with salt, pepper, and garlic
4. Layer everything in a deep baking dish with rotini on the bottom, meat next, zucchini, sauce, then cheese.
5. Bake for 15min at 375 degrees
6. Top with fresh parsley and basil. Enjoy!
